Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehab occurs each Wednesday from 3 to 5pm.

• The first hour is a dedicated information session on various topics, diet/stress management/medications/heart anatomy.
• The second hour is a supervised exercise session with a physio.

Cardiac rehab is held at the John Torpie Centre, 193-195 Abbott St (the meeting room).

There is free patient parking available to the left of the building and the entrance is via the side of the building/car park (red flag will be outside).

Patients eligible are those with:

• Cardiac risk factors - can commence immediately.
• CABG/AVR/MVR - can commence 8 weeks post surgery.
• Coronary stents/PPM/AICD/Ablation - can commence 2 weeks post intervention.

The cardiac nurse is available each Wednesday 11.30am to 5.30pm for further information.
